Among the DGD responsibilities there’s facilitation and link Diaspora to National institutions. The main assistance, we provide to Rwandan Diaspora is to make a follow on their requests from different institutions and passports applications capture a big part of Diaspora requests.

The access to DGD assistance requires the following:

Ø  To be Rwandese

Ø  To be a member of Rwandan Diaspora

Ø  To hold Rwandese documents (ID, Passport or Consular card)

Ø  To hold host country documents (residence permit)

Ø  Clarification of application status

And the assistance covers mainly delaying Diaspora applications and channels applications from countries in which Rwanda has no Diplomatic representation otherwise the applications should be through the embassy.
