Rwandan Youth Living Abroad to Work towards a Bright Future


Kigali, July 30th, 2012- Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Dr. Pierre Damien HABUMUREMYI 0fficially opened the 5th “ITORERO” ,“Civic training” , for Rwandan Youth living abroad aged between 18 and 35 years. Over 258 Rwandans Youth have attended this “ITORERO”, at Gako Military Academy. This “ITORERO” was named “INDANGAMIRWA”

For “working towards a bright future”, during this session, High profile Government Officials will have a free interaction with them: sharing the life story of the country; its achievements and encouraging them to participate in social development of their mother-land.
 In his speech, Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Dr. Pierre Damien HABUMUREMYI told them  that Rwanda provides a lots of efforts to develop and that the results are good.

“This is a good opportunity to learn much on Rwanda, its past, present time and its vision, you will also learn Rwanda’s leadership and achievements” said Dr. Habumuremyi.
 
 He showed them the rate of economic growth,  which  is 8.3% to be rise to 11.5% in 2020 and requested  them to be proud of their mother land and be ambassadors of their country.
 
“After this “ITORERO” we expect you to be active in social development of your native country and be good ambassadors” said Habumuremyi.
One of the participants, Vestine Ntegeyimbuga from Malawi, promised that they will implement what they will learn from “ITORERO”.

 “We will build the good image of the country, especially among Rwandans living abroad because there are those who have bad image of our mother land”, said Ntegeyimbuga
